How to Die Cut 2-Colour Flying Swallows Blocks
For best cutting results, place fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it feeds under the roller.
Tip: This die is specially designed to cut one complete 2-colour, 12″ finished block in a single pass through the cutter.
Fabric Colour 1 (Background)
Cut a 4 7/8″ x WOF strip.
Fan-fold into 4 7/8″ lengths over Shape A. Cut 8.
Cut a 3 7/8″ x WOF strip.
Fan-fold into 3 7/8″ lengths over Shape B. Cut 8.
Cut a 3 3/4″ x WOF strip.
Fan-fold into 3 3/4″ lengths over Shape C. Cut 16.
Cut a 3 1/8″ x WOF strip.
Fan-fold into 3 1/8″ lengths over Shape D. Cut 32.
Fabric Colour 2 (Flying Swallows)
Cut a 3 1/2″ x WOF strip.
Fan-fold into 5″ lengths over Shape E. Cut 24.

Die Tips
- With some fabrics, a few threads may remain where the blades meet. Simply snip with scissors.
- Some die blades are positioned at an angle. Always align fabric to the edge of the shape, not the edge of the die board.
- Use good-quality fabric to reduce stretching.
- Always test cut one shape first to ensure fabric placement and orientation are correct.
